On 21st August 2011 this man has embarked on a journey into the record books as the first man to circumnavigate Australia by road in an electric car.

He will recharge his battery driven 1950’s MG from renewable electricity sources wherever possible and tally his carbon count whenever he cannot. His ‘race’ to be responsible for as little carbon as possible on his journey is the gauntlet thrown down to future ‘racers’.

The Guinness World Records is monitoring the event and his progress and CO2 tallies will be reported online daily.
