GLEN GEORGE (Owner/driver)

Glen was born in Wales in 1944 and has worked in the renewable energy sector since 1979 when he began manufacturing his own solar water heater in Cape Town.

He arrived in Australia in 2001 and became an accredited designer of solar PV systems in 2002. He was responsible for approximately 750 solar PV installations in WA before retiring from the Solar Industry 2009. He was affectionately known as “Mr PV” and mentored many people into the new industry.

One of the founding members of the Sustainable Energy Association, then WASEA and was a committee member for 5 years and Vice Chair for 1 year.

Participant in State Government task force into the barriers to the up-take of photo-voltaics in Western Australia in 2007.

On retirement in 2009 became accredited as Green Loans assessor and continues to carry out home energy audits.
